Santoria
Abrams

Santoria Abrams is a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, from the heart of Pensacola, Florida. She is the passionate force behind SWAG - Safe Women & Girls, a nonprofit organization committed to nurturing and empowering women and young girls who have faced hardships, traumatic experiences, or unsafe environments. Santoria's journey to becoming a nonprofit organizer is a testament to her strength and commitment to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Santoria's background is rooted in the healing and compassion of her past. Having overcome her own childhood trauma, she brings a unique perspective to her role as a mentor and advocate. Her personal experiences have instilled in her a deeply rooted faith in God, understanding of the complex challenges many women and girls face, giving her the empathy and insight required to make a meaningful impact.

For over 11 years, Santoria served as an Emergency Room (ER) technician, where she was known for her exceptional dedication and care for patients. However, a traumatic event, the passing of her first husband, reshaped her life's purpose. It was during this difficult period that Santoria found her calling in helping young girls and women in need. Her determination to support others in their times of adversity led her to transition from the ER into her role as a fierce advocate for the vulnerable.

SWAG, under Santoria's leadership, has become a safe space of hope for women and girls in need, however men are welcome as well. Through her organization, she provides a safe haven and essential resources to help survivors of trauma rebuild their lives. Santoria's dedication extends beyond her organization, as she tirelessly volunteers in various community service activities throughout the city, making a lasting impact on her local community.

In addition to her work within the community, Santoria is a vital part of the Jail Ministry at The Escambia County Jail. Her presence and support bring comfort to those who have lost their way, offering a second chance to rebuild their lives. Her commitment to this ministry demonstrates her
non-changing belief in the power of God and his ability to aide in one's transformation and the importance of extending compassion to all, regardless of their past.

Santoria Abrams is a remarkable example of resilience, compassion, and dedication. She is a woman who has turned her personal trials into a life's mission to support and empower women and girls who have faced adversity. Her commitment to making the world a safer and better place for women and girls is an inspiration to all. Santoria's journey is proof that, with a compassionate heart and a strong sense of purpose, one person can make a profound and lasting difference in the lives of others.
